Autothermal Thermophilic Aerobic Digestion (ATAD) ATAD is a treatment technology for meeting U.S. federal requirements for pathogen control and land application of municipal wastewater sludge that has been used successfully since the 1970’s. Turborator® technology has been providing aeration and mixing solutions to the wastewater industry since 1989 and is a featured component in the first ATAD system in North America, The District of Salmon Arm Water Pollution Control Centre, Salmon Arm, BC which continues to operate today. Please refer to the document to the right for a description of the operation experience at Salmon Arm, including discussions regarding maintenance and operations costs. The Turborator® has also proven to be very cost effective and reliable in retrofitting existing facilities. Please refer to the documents to the right for details on how the Turborator® increased plant capacity and improved overall process performance at the McMinnville Water Reclamation Facility. The temperature comparison document clearly shows the benefits of installing the Turborator.
